“GEM was contracted by our architect to renovate and extend our Victorian end of terrace house. This was a difficult project with the limited size of the plot and restricted access, but GEM coped admirably with these challenges. The plan was to completely modernise the house making it environmentally friendly with solar panels, an air source heat pump and extensive insulation, but at the same time retaining as many original features as possible - GEM managed the sensitive balance between new and old very well. The build itself was complicated by the age and state of the property and because the house sits in a conservation area. GEM tackled these challenges proactively, developing practical solutions that ensured the build continued on schedule without compromising quality. The GEM team from back office to the site are conscientious, considerate and very professional.”
